Beauty
It’s a combination of many things, the genes you inherited, your health , diet, exercise, medication, stress, UV damage, whether you’re a smoker and how much quality sleep you regularly have and the list goes on. But visible ageing is a normal process.
Our skin has two types of lines; the first type is wrinkles; these are usually inherited from a long link of genes handed down from one generation to another. If you look like your mum, your dad, your aunty or your grandmother you will notice your inherited facial structure as you age. You will notice wrinkles growing deeper and defining your character and your individual looks. These wrinkles are determined by the movements or contractions of muscles beneath the skin. At the same time the collagen and elastin fibers which give your skin its firmness and resistance to ageing, they undergo chemical changes which cause them to lose their elasticity, consequently the skin looses its suppleness and tone and the skin obeys the laws of gravity. Don’t fight these wrinkles, they are your life’s journey, they are the special moments when you laughed and cried, the good times and the bad times and contribute to the confidence and the wisdom you have now.
The second sign of ageing are the fine superficial lines around the eyes, mouth and across the skins surface. These fine lines might be a product of early and on going negligence. One of the great enemies of ageing is the sun. When we are young our bodies and skin appear firm and unblemished, we bask in rays of damaging ageing UV rays chasing the ultimate tan. The same tan that makes you look fresh and healthy in youth, is the same tan that makes you look aged, with a tired dried skin later in life. Unfortunately, in most of us the damage doesn’t show until many years later.
Winter is another time to really moisturise and look after your skin. The air is very dry in winter, you will often notice your lips are very dry and your skin can feel tight and lack of its natural glow. As the skin surface dehydrates, fine lines become more visible and the skin can feel rough to touch and appears dull and flakey becoming irritated and itchy. Often referred to as the 'Winter Itch', common to the arms and legs. With continuous rubbing and scratching, the skin becomes thickened, rough and potentially cracked, which can results in dermatitis becoming red, flakey and scaly. Eczema may also appear. When there is not enough water to moisten the skin for it to function properly our skin becomes dry, allowing the protective oils to be lost. Other major contributors are artificial heat, detergent based products and harsh outside conditions.
Only use gentle, quality products. It is very important to pamper your skin and allow it to balance and be naturally healthy. Exfoliating is excellent for removing dry dead cells and stimulating fresh healthy skin increasing the skins strength, reducing superficial wrinkles, stimulating blood flow, and reducing redness of the skin.
Take good care of your skin:
Firstly create a pampering atmosphere, by preparing warm fresh soft towels. Run a nice warm relaxing bath. Before you slip into the bath, cleanse your skin with a gentle cleanser, pat dry and cover your face and neck with Honey Facial Serum. Now hop into your bath and lay back and enjoy the facial you have while you’re relaxing. The rich Manuka Honey mask will hydrate and nourish you skin. Your skin will benefit more while its warm and relaxed. Allow the honey to rejuvenate and re invent a more youthful looking you. After 15 minutes massage the honey with water and rinse it off. Finish your bath and slip into your warm towels. Now apply night moisturises to continue your facial treat. Don't forget your eye cream, to penetrate the delicate tissue and retard the ageing lines and dark circles around the eyes. Now off to bed for a stress free sleep, tomorrow you will wake up to a more beautiful you. Good Night.
